Kansas City Christmas events and light displays

Christmas is an amazing time in Kansas City for families to enjoy lights while celebrating the reason for the season. Here’s a list of various Christmas Tree Lightings and Christmas events taking place this year.

Kansas City Area Christmas light displays

Christmas Acres: Open nightly from 5:00 pm-10:00 pm. The display is celebrating their 24th year of bringing Christmas to the country.

131st and Antioch in Overland Park: This neighborhood has a Whoville theme display in 2020.

Country Club Plaza: For 91 years the Plaza lights have been a Christmas favorite in Kansas City. This year’s display runs through January 10.

Christmas Card Lane: Ridgeview & 151st Street in Olathe. This neighborhood decorates with beautiful Christmas lights and giant wooden Christmas cards.

Lane of Lights: The Lane of Lights is located along Lovers Lane in East Valley Park in Excelsior Springs, MO.

Christmas in the Park – Lee’s Summit: I-470 & View High Drive. Enjoy more than 500,000 lights, 175 animated figures and splashes of Christmas color!

Candy Cane Lane: Outlook & 79th Street in Prairie Village. Your family can enjoy candy canes, giant Christmas trees and beautifully lit homes throughout the area.

Paulie’s Penguin Playground: Indian Creek Parkway in Olathe. This is the 18th year Paul has celebrated. Any donations given benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Liberty Lightshow: Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at N.tate Route 291 in KCMO.

Sar-Ko-Aglow: Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park in Lenexa, KS

Trail of trees and Mayor’s Christmas tree: T.B. Hanna Station at S. Washington St. in Raymore, MO.
