The Golgotha Experience

3:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Written and composed in 2014, Jesse and Leah Roberts (Poor Bishop Hooper) were inspired to write Golgotha to help the curious better understand the truth and importance of Jesus’ crucifixion. Complementing the beautiful visual history that surrounds the "Stations of the Cross" tradition, they composed fourteen scripture-based original songs that invite the mind and heart to experience the Savior’s suffering in new ways. With original music at its core, The Golgotha Experience uses powerful visuals, God’s Word, and guided prayer to draw people nearer to Jesus. Since its origin, The Golgotha Experience has become a full-fledged ministry and has had a widespread spiritual impact on thousands of individuals around the world. The Roberts have been blessed to serve in a variety of settings - from living rooms and concert halls to prisons and mega-churches. Their prayer is that God would continue to use The Golgotha Experience for His purposes and for the strengthening of His people. First Annual Feed Their Fight Pickleball Tournament

12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Food for the Cure is proud to announce that we will be having our First Annual Feed Their Fight Pickleball Tournament on April 16th 9am-12pm located at Chicken N’ Pickle 1761 Burlington St. North Kansas City, MO 64116. Along with 24 teams fighting to be the Feed Their Fight Pickleball Champion we will have a silent auction, organic bake sale, and tons of fun! If you want to play in the tournament, we have $80 2-Player Team tickets available to purchase at www.feedtheirfight.com on our fundraisers page. Scroll down to the Tournament and click the link to buy tickets. It’s free to come watch and enjoy the event. We hope to see you there! At Food for the Cure our mission is to create programs that teach people how organic food may improve our health and to give free organic food to cancer patients in the Kansas City Metro Area. We are trying to fill a giant gap in our food system when it comes to affordability of healthy organic foods and getting them in the hands of those who need them most. All this to help fight cancer with organic foods along with the cancer patients’ treatments at no cost to them. Food for the Cure was created to honor our founder’s mother, Brenda Fitzgerald, who couldn’t afford eating healthy organic foods while in treatment with her cancer. She unfortunately made too much money to qualify for assistance and that’s why here at Food for the Cure the only thing you need to qualify is to be a cancer patient in the Kansas City Metro Area (KS & MO). With this comes big responsibility and Food for the Cure is up to the challenge! With the help of our great communities in the Metro we will use all the donated money to further expand our growing capabilities to feed as many cancer patients as we can. One day we hope we will be large enough to give every cancer patient in our area the much-needed organic food that they need to nourish their bodies as the fight for their life against cancer.
