GriefShare Support Group

6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

A GriefShare support group offers help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. There are three key parts to a GriefShare session: a video seminar which features leading grief recovery experts; small group discussion based on the content of the weekly video; and workbook journaling and personal study that reinforces the weekly session topics. The entire GriefShare program encompasses thirteen weekly sessions, running approximately 90 minutes in length each week.

Kansas City Barefoot Mile

Join us on 9/26/20, in person or virtually, individually or with a team, to walk 1 mile barefoot. We are raising funds and awareness of the children around the world who are vulnerable to set traffickers, most do not own a pair of shoes. Don’t turn away! This criminal activity has greatly increased since the pandemic, inflicting trauma upon our most vulnerable citizens. Gospel Concert with the Abundance Quartet

An open-air gospel concert to be held at McCorkle Park in downtown Cameron, Missouri. Join us for 75 minutes of live gospel music presented by the Abundance Quartet from Branson, MO. Bring your lawn chair! If weather were to be a concern, the concert will be moved to the gymnasium of First Baptist Church, Cameron (202 E. Ford St.). Further questions may be addressed to the church office at 816-632-7251. This is a FREE event but a love offering will be received to benefit the ministry of the Abundance Quartet.

Slurpee with a Cop

Building community is needed now more than ever before and you can do that while enjoying a free small 7-Eleven Slurpee while meeting some of the hardest working heroes around. Members of the Overland Park PD and Johnson County Sheriff's Department will be on hand giving away prizes! Life 88.5 will be providing great music and you might even be able to catch a Superhero from the KC Wonder League in action.
