Life 88.5 in the Snake Saturday Parade

For more than 35 years families have been creating memories at the Snake Saturday Parade. The Snake Saturday Parade & Festival is one of the largest family fun Irish celebration in the area and has also generated an enormous amount of exposure and charitable donations benefiting local non-profit organizations. The Snake Saturday Parade & Festival awards cash prizes to from 50 –100 local charities, totaling 1.4 million dollars to date. Free parking in North Kanas City is very plentiful. The key to grabbing a good spot close to the parade route is just like any other event – get there in plenty of time. Find out more at snakesaturday.com. The parade will head down Broadway, starting at Linwood and ending at 43rd street. Help military and veteran families!

Our military members sacrifice for us everyday and now we have a chance to give back. American Legion Post 21 in Independence and H.E.R.O.E.S. Care have opened the first food pantry geared specifically to active duty military and veterans. Life 88.5 will be collecting non perishable food items outside Silverstein Eye Centers Arena on March 20. Some of the most needed items are: beefaroni ravioli spaghetti pasta sauces canned cheese canned veggies Other items needed: paper towels baby wipes diapers toothbrushes The food pantry is located at American Legion Tirey J. Ford Post 21 - 16701 E. U.S. 40 HWY - Independence
