As of 2023, over 500 million copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul books have been
sold worldwide, making it the second most popular book series of all time.
The series, which began in 1993, includes hundreds of titles, translated into over 40
languages, one of the most successful book franchises ever.
Each book contains 101 stories and the number of submissions ranges from 3,000–
5,000, therefore the process is extremely competitive. Several HACWN members, such
as Charlotte Asperger, Jeanie Jacobson, SuZan Klassen, Rebecaa Thesman, and now
Anne Rauth have been selected for the book.
Anne has been writing for only a few years for Christian publications but has been featured in
Guideposts’ Angels on Earth, and the latest Chicken Soup for the Soul: Just Say Yes, along with other
publications. Well-seasoned in the fields of marketing, promotion, and advertising, she worked in the
Finance, Advertising, and Hallmark Hall of Fame divisions of Hallmark Cards, as well as other Fortune
500 companies, such as H&R Block, directing national promotions and sponsorships. In June, 2023, Anne
and her husband opened an Air BnB that will be used for quilting and writing retreats in the peaceful
countryside around the Quilting capital of the world (https://airbnb.com/h/-quilt-retreat-oasis). She’s also
the mom of three boys, all Eagle Scouts.
