Your heart might still be racing from Sunday night’s Chiefs thriller. Sleep may be a bit harder to come by since then and personally I feel like Will Ferrell’s Buddy the Elf character who famously said “I feel great, I got a full 40 minutes”!

If you’re a lifelong Chiefs fan like myself you may feel like we’re living a dream because come on….4 straight AFC Championship appearances in a row! We’re living in the Golden Era of Chiefs football and I love it!

I have very specific memories of growing up a Chiefs fan from; losing a bet to shave a Buffalo in the side of my head in January of 1994, to seeing a memorable Monday night game with my dad and almost getting to drive to KCI to welcome the team back after an improbable playoff win in Houston with Joe Montana. Of course who can forget the Chiefs parade two years ago! (Okay I know I wasn’t a kid then but my heart rejoiced like one!)

Needless to say I want to use this exciting time to help create some unforgettable memories with my own family that they’ll one day look back on. This past Sunday I told my 9 year-old son if the Chiefs won we could bring a little Arrowhead magic to our side yard, so this happened!

We also love making playoff cookies!

So how are you celebrating this special time with those you love and care for? I’d love to see your pictures of watch parties, fun things you’ve made or ways you continue to create memories. Text your pictures and share your stories at 855-474-8850.

Also if you’re looking for a fun way to capture that favorite picture or take in some fun sites around Kansas City take the Chiefs mural tour!
