On the way back to the hotel we stopped at a local grocery story to get supplies for the trip home. It was really neat to experience a grocery store in Honduras.
We then traveled a gorgeous mountain road to the Valley of Angels which was an open air market. It was fun to see so many people out enjoying the beautiful day and the craftsmanship was tremendous on many of the items.
Following the church service we drove up the mountains towards the northeast side of Tegucigalpa to eat at a beautiful restaurant called La Placita de Susy. The Honduran food has really been out of this world. The view was breathtaking. We left stuffed to the breaking point!
Our adventure began in an area called Los Robles. We attended a church service at Iglesias de Dios and they know how to worship! We sang for about 45 minutes to open the service and it was amazing to hear worship happening in English and Spanish. Iglesias de Dios also has a One Child Hope Center on site that serves 112 kids.
So it appears that it’s a beautiful day in Honduras. The last couple of days have been a bit cooler and cloudy which has been outstanding! Up for a quick bike ride and I can tell you I have enjoyed the Honduran people and food more than the Honduran hilly ride…😆. Also looking out my window you can see the aftermath of last night’s concert. We’re headed out to a local church soon and I’ll have more later today!
