It’s amazing to think about how fast this year has flown by!  We are well into the month of May, and before you know it, your kids are going to be heading into summer vacation.  So, Mom and Dad…are you ready?!?  Summer vacation is so exciting; warm weather, a break from the routine, maybe a getaway for your family.  Eventually, though, you hit that “what are we going to do now” point of the summer.  Well have no fear, I found a great article with some fun ideas of FREE things you can do with your kids this summer.

– Check out the library.  It’s always good to keep kids reading and learning over summer vacation.  A trip to the library can do just that, while allowing them to choose the subjects they’re interested in.  And as long as you return everything on time, it’s totally free!

– Cook dinner together.  What better way to squelch the “I’m bored’s” than to get everyone involved in making dinner.  Yes, this will probably make the process take a little longer, but you’ll be helping your kids learn some new skills, and let’s face it…it’s just fun!
