June 1 marks the kick off of the Summer Food Service Program.  This federally funded program offers free meals through July 24, 2015, to any child between 1 and 18 years old.  The program is designed to help low income families be sure their children are getting healthy meals even when school is out for the summer, but any child can go to any location for a free meal.  Even another state if you’re family is out of town. Most meals offered are lunch, but there are few locations that also offer breakfast and/or dinner.
