Park Hill Baptist Church 2019 Women's Conference

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

What happens in your heart when you hear that God bends down to listen to you? Hope? Or maybe disbelief. God, in his perfect word, paints this picture for us. Psalm 116:1-2 (NLT) I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! Another translation substitutes “inclined his ear.” Yet another uses the phrase “has turned his ear.” The truth is the same. God takes care to listen to us when we pray. Sister with the tired soul—let this truth sink in. Friends who are uncomfortable or unsure about talking to God—dare to believe that God means what He says here! Or maybe you are one who has thought of God only as a fairy tale and never as a perfect Heavenly Father? Please—ponder this truth. No matter how you feel about prayer, please join us Saturday, April 27, 2019 to study this astounding truth at the 2019 Women’s Conference. It is our aim—and our prayer—that you will be lavished with fellowship, encouragement and laughter as we center your hearts on the One who longs for you by studying how His word answers the question “What Happens When I Pray?” So, as our 2019 speaker has been known to say, “Come as you are and find Him to be more than you need!”

Corey's Network Fundraiser

12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Corey's Network (CNI) is a not for profit organization that runs 100% on volunteer help. We offer assistance and support for families of homicide victims. We provide a weekly workshop to help the families learn to navigate the process which includes what to expect from the investigation, trial, etc. In addition, we offer resources, referrals to services, and we help pay for funerals. Because funerals are so very expensive, we are always looking for ways to raise money to help. Aramark has made an offer to us that if we can find volunteers to work the KC Royals concession stands during the 2019 season, CNI will receive the proceeds. The only requirements are that you attend an orientation where you will receive your food handler license at no charge to you, that you be at least 16 years of age, and that you sign up at least four days in advance for the game or games you would like to work. Please give this prayerful consideration. A church group would be ideal--this is a very much needed and worthwhile cause AND it's more fun with friends. Of course, individuals are also very welcome. You could do this only one time during the season, weekly, monthly, or whatever would work for you. For more information, please contact Jenny Donaldson at 816 804-1887 or at coreysvolunteers@gmail.com. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
