Please join us for the Second Annual Reverse Rett Kansas City, a special event that benefits the Rett Syndrome Research Trust (RSRT), a non-profit that’s leading the charge to make Rett Syndrome the first neurological disorder that can be profoundly reversed. Our theme this year is the 1920s, and we expect to have a great time while we make a difference!

The gala is raising funds for a 501c3 non profit organization called Rett Syndrome Research Trust(RSRT). RSRT’s mission is to spur and support scientific research that is leading to a cure for Rett Syndrome, which is a severe neurological disorder. Rett Syndrome afflicts 350,000 children and adults around the world, including about 20,000 in the U.S. Our event committee is made up of local parents who have a child with Rett. This disorder is devastating. Most children afflicted with Rett cannot walk or talk, and many suffer with other symptoms such as seizures, scoliosis, muscle rigidity, and chewing and swallowing problems so severe that a feeding tube is needed nourishment.

Despite these terrible symptoms, we have great hope. Research on Rett Syndrome is very promising. With more funding for the research, Rett could become the first neurological disorder to be cured. This event raises critical funding for RSRT.

Our loved ones and 350,000 other children and adults struggle with the devastating symptoms of Rett. Your support last year helped RSRT push ahead with its bold strategic research plan, Roadmap to a Cure. This year’s event is more important than ever to continue this exciting momentum. This is our chance to change lives and Make Rett History!

The gala will be semi formal with a 1920’s theme. Hors d’oeuvres, desserts, cocktails, DJ, speakers, live and silent auction, and a chance to meet our beautiful daughters who fight Rett Syndrome every single day!!
